Coke bottle. Only measures 6 1/4" tall. Markings include "Trade Mark Registered Pat"D Nov 16 1915" and "MIN CONTENTS 6 FL OZS" on shoulders. "Greenwood SC" on the bottom. Mold marks run the length of the bottle. Color, Glass and markings appear to be a regular hobble skirt coke bottle but is only 6 1/4" tall. After reading Doug McCoy's articles I wonder if this is rare item.
Have you ever found anything out about this mutant Coke bottle. Have never read anything about these. Looks like a manufacturing flaw.
I have a very similar bottle. So far I am hearing it is manufactured by coke. A prototype of error of some kind. I think we need to get to geather on this bottle. My bottle also has all the same embossing. See my Profile picture, that is the bottle I have. Longer neck and a lot more over pour but has the same shoulder with light embossing and no Coca Cola. Have you sold yours. Have you found out if there is any value?
Did anyone ever find out about these bottles? I have one that dips in on sides. Kinda fits hand good.
