in 1969 , yashica introduced the 1st electronic slr camera using interchangebale lenses. electronic cameras already existed as polaroid bought one out in 1961, using transistorised shutters and electronic metering this was the first electronic single lens reflex using interchangeable lenses. it had new electronic light immiting diodes which controled the exposure , the arrows glowed red in the viewfinder and told the photograher which way to turn the aperture ring for correct exposure and so could be seen in near darkness unlike the present needles used on all other cameras to determine correct exposure.
mine has the fast best quality f1.4 yashinon dx lens renouned as a sharp high quality 50mm lens. also have a 28mm wide angle f2.8 lens and a 135 mm telephoto lens in the photos and a macro/close up lens/tube set.

thanks pops52-actually the camera cost £180 new with the f1.4 lens-10 weeks wages for me as in the april of 1969 i started work as a cost clerk with the triumph motor company in bordesley green birmingham , my age was 22 in the july, the wage was exactly £18pw -the company closed down in 1980 as cars from japan were coming in at alot cheaper cost.
