The Lake Breeze Hot Air Fan is not a fan to blow hot air. It is a fan that doesn't depend on electricity to power the fan. It uses hot air created by an alcohol burner to power it. The engine is correctly known as a Stirling Cycle Engine (named after the inventor in the 1800's). This fan was made around the turn of the 20th century. This particular fan is a Lake Breeze model "C". They made several models, floor models, and table models. The other fuels that were used to power them were natural gas and naptha. There maybe other fuels used that I am not aware of. It runs on a candle wick size flame and runs for hours on a very small amount of fuel. It runs whisper quiet too. ............. hotairfan

First thing that caught my eye was the unusual base & then saw the offset cranking system. "Wha a ting" as we would say in Jamaica. Don't guess it runs on beer?

thank you for your comment. They are around, you have to look in the right places. I don't think that you will find a Lake Breeze Fan on Ebay. You will have to go to sale items at a fan collector's site or other avenues of the internet. Either way, have deep pockets, they are pretty salty, if you know what I mean....... hotairfan
I need one of these. I've got enough hot air in me where one would spin so fast it would get icicles! Sure to be many who agree but I'm not the only one capable of that feat. Mounted over my pillow, just think of the money I'd save on A/C!
