    On a snowy or icy day when you had to go out with the family horse, you might put these cleats over the shoes to prevent the horse from slipping and injuring itself.
    The cleat on the left has a shoe attached to show how it works.. hotairfan.

      What a great invention! I guess equivalent to chains on tyres. I've never heard of these & used to do a bit of horse riding. Nothing worse than when a horse slips, I've been off a few times that way in the past.

      Putting them on I wouldn't have a problem with but I would let you take them off. I've been kicked before digging ice out of a hoof without these.
