    This tool is called a Crandle ( sometimes spelled Krandel).
    It was used by quarry workers to chip off the bumps of stone on their cuttings.
    They are rare and hard to find because, by tradition, the quarry worker, upon retirement, custom was to throw the Crandle into the quarry mine water hole that most quarries had acquired over time ...hotairfan

      I notice the wedge so that the teeth/spikes could be replaced or removed for sharpening.

      If you get up in Vt or NH around the marble and granite quarry towns you can find these.
