Here I Have A Set of 9! Federal Depression Glass 5 1/2 - inch Saucers | Uranium | Optic Panel... I really have to get a uv light.
I am so excited about this set because of the great deal I got on them.
I find that using the screw-in fluorescent black light bulbs work fine for uranium glass. That's what I use in a standard clamp-on work light for my photography.
Thank you tc :) I am so looking forward to seeing all the uranium pieces under uv light.
Thanks for the loves

Hello Aim, there's an old saying "If it's green, it's not Vaseline" Not hounding you just thought I'd add that. Very nice uranium "Depression" set. Love them and all the other greens and pinks
Hi Kerry, yes I've heard that. So what color is Vaseline? The seller said these are actually much lighter than the photos...? Thanks agh much for the input Kerry.
Thanks for the loves

Yellow is the color, off shade but yellow
Aim, it will glow green under uv lamp, but yellow under normal light.
here's a great posting showing the base color and the glow:

The Vaseline name was given by collectors because they thought the glass was the color of Vaseline Petroleum Jelly. Most original EAPG makers called the color Canary.
Thanks TallCakes for the clarification, Yes "Canary" would be correct term
Many thanks gentleman, very good to know.
Thank you for the link to reference.
Two good things... I like green, and I purchased this whole set for $10 including shipping.
TC, I have seen listings where they refer to them as canary. I thought it was just people describing them differently. I've also read feedback from disappointed buyers who purchase brand new replicas that were advertised as vintage uranium.
There's tons of new reproductions around and many sellers don't differentiate; it's up to buyers to be educated and know what they are buying. The term 'vintage' has really no relevance for glass or anything else other than wine.
Hello Aim, TC will stir you straight no doubts. You had asked earlier about which was my favorite style "Mickey". I've posted the 1934 Mickey Alarm , which is probably my favorite variant of the Mickey Clocks, if you wish to see.
:) thank you
Very nice set. Glad you got a good deal.
