    I bought this table from an elderly lady and I have no idea how old it is.
    I put an old oil lamp and a fake scrimshaw on it for now. I guess this would be considered victorian era furniture,but I'm not sure. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks Ron

      A picture of the bottom, any fasteners & joints would help.

      Agree with david, a photo of the underside will show the age.

      It is not Victorian. I would think the 1920s at the earliest. It has some features that give the appearance of 19th century (lighter veneer/ carving), but they just aren't completely "on" for the period.

      The two legs with top fluting are typical 20th century (1920s- 30s).

      I've never seen anything like this before. unusual?

      A Phillips screw was invented in the 1930s. Original Phillips screws would date the table to the 1930s or later. I saw an old European table from around 1890 with a single line through through the screw top.
