Introduced in the early 1980's, this is a fare token for the Garden State Parkway in New Jersey. -- The Garden State Parkway (GSP) is a 172.4 mile (277-km) limited-access toll parkway that stretches the length of New Jersey from the New York line at Montvale, New Jersey, to Cape May at New Jersey's southernmost tip. - Toll collection plazas were placed along the entire route and you would need a total of eleven of these to drive the entire parkway length. - It is 7/8" (23mm) in diameter and is made of a bi-metallic composition consisting of a brass center with an outer ring of white metal (the actual white metal seems to be a secret but it is non-magnetic). - These were invalidated on Jan. 1st, 2009 - (Obsolete)
