I recently aquired this piece from an internet website because I love art deco glass, this piece is most probably by the czech glass company of Schweig Muller produced in the 1930's, but what i love about this little lady is she is only five inches tall, so as a center piece the bowl and frog would have only been around six to eight inches ?, not very big for a show off piece
Pamela at PressGlas has a pink one like this in the unknown section. Tho' this isn't Vaseline 'cause Vaseline ain't Green.

Ooh, i think i bid on this. Well done. She's lovely.
Yes, i know Pamela we have met, and vaseline can be Green as it contains uranium
This might help with Vaseline glass http://www.vaselineglass.org/blacklight.html
I have colected glass for over thirty years and have had many pieces of vaseline glass in various colours.
I have another piece of glasss in show and tell at the moment that also glows under UV Black Light but in this instance i know it as Custard glass
sorry Susan; but Vaseline glass is a type of uranium glass (not the other way around) that is called that because it is the color of Vaseline, which is yellow. Originally makers called the color Canary; it was collectors who began calling it Vaseline Glass.
Also, Susan, the webpage you referenced is indeed various pieces of Vaseline glass, many mixed with other colors; but if you will looks at each piece you will see that each has a major portion that is Vaseline. You might check the definition of Vaseline that is used on the home page from that link.
Thanks for all the advice folks, i am always willing to learn, unfortunatley my long suffering husband has finally had enough and has insisted i choose my most treasured pieces and sell the rest!!!! what on earth do i choose?? they are all my tresured possesions, so i choose them all and i have cleared out his garage for him to have some space haha ; .)
