Old Fishing Rod Found In My Basement-Looking For Info

I found an old fishing rod in the basement of our new home. It is a 3 piece and almost 16' long. It has the marking "PD Malloch Maker Perth" and a stamped number 1731 (part number?) on it. It has seen some heavy use but appears to be all there. I am trying to find any information on it and am interested in learning about it. Thanks to anyone who can help me out!
