This is an original Sorrows of Satan stone lithograph from my private collection of Magic posters. This 1/2 sheet lithograph is in excellent condition and measures approximately 20" x 30" ca. 1910
This poster image was used to advertise Marie Correll's 1895 novel "Sorrows of Satan" turned stage play that toured during the turn of the century. This poster was also used to advertise various Magicians that toured as well, including Illusionist "Faust".
This stone lithograph was printed by Stafford & Co. out of the small town of Netherfield, England. Stafford & Co. was the lithography company dedicated to many theatre and cinema posters during the turn of the century.
