As i commented (was it yesterday?) on some other Häberli item, I just found this picture of the JIM desktray, designed by Alfredo Häberli for Driade in 1997. He made four designs in melamine: this JIM tray, the ashtrays VIS À VIS and MORE OR LESS and the ROSA SIMPLE bowl, which should be arriving home anytime next week.

Being a non-smoker I have never used the ashtrays -well, only to keep coins or keys in them... -, but I've used this tray everyday since I got it as it's always on my desk. I love the two side shallow bowls, which are just so handy to keep sharpeners or erasers on them; then there's the pen tray, and then the little slot behind it which I use to keep cards or put notes of important things not to forget (and which i always forget after seeing the reminder for so long... I once missed a concert after having the ticket put there -always on sight- for three whole months. I guess it ended up meaning nothing :( )

Agh, I realize I'm not at my best in English tonight. After all it's 1:13 am and I woke up really early this morning in order to clean the house and cook (Guinness beef stew and an amazing spinach, nuts, grenada and blue cheese salad with honey and mustard dressing... I shouldn't say so, but both were delicious!)
