I hesitated posting these simply because I'm at a loss for any info about them. They're about 11" tall and not terribly heavy. They've been through the wringer. The lady figure has had her head broken off and glued. The gentlemen has been broken off at the legs along with his head. There are multiple chips in his coat and it looks like chalk or plaster under the paint. The marks stamped on the bottom are too small and blurred to read. The only thing legible are the numbers 703 on her and 704 on him. They have an interesting elongated style similar to Lladro but I'm pretty sure they're not. Still, they are kind of interesting and the price was right. -Mike-
They look like Occupied Japan "Colonial" figures? Not saying they are but that is my best guess.
Thanks charcoal.... It's anyone's guess at this point. I really don't think they're too old the modeling seems very contemporary.
The name doesn't ring a bell Ken...might be worth investigating though.
