Recently acquired this companion pair of American Cut Brilliant glass. They are identical except for size, the smaller one is about 6 inches wide, and the larger one is about 8 inches wide. They both have appropriate wear on the bottom. Both are in very good shape, though I do see a tooth or two (between the square-ish cut areas) slightly chipped.

I have never had the chance to acquire a pair before. It is a little weird that that are identical but in different sizes. I know pieces such as bowls were made in different sizes. I am guessing they were originally purchased together.

I assume this is the Harvard (cane) pattern. No signature from what I can see. On second thought, I wonder if the "bulls eye" and the odd star cut on the bottom might suggest an English origin. Any thoughts?

Agreed. I get an English feel from them
