Hello, I got 6 different bronzes from Tibet! This is one of my best buys ever! Will post other in a few days! This Garuda (I think) is 9" tall and 11" across casted beautifully!! toracat

The garuda chick has all its wing feathers fully developed inside the egg, but it cannot fly before it hatches. Only at the moment when the shell cracks open can it burst out and soar into the sky. Similarly, the masters tell us, the qualities of buddhahood are veiled by the body, and as soon as the body is discarded, they will be radiantly displayed.

I have spent a whole lot of my life in Asia as well. My kids go to, what we call..."Buddha school" to learn all about it. We kind of mix a lot of religions here...Hindi, Christianity etc. Take the best, forget the rest...or just confuse the heck out of the kids :))
I was a crisis worker and we hired a monk in orange robes to work with us, two hospitals, jail, and juvenile hall, when people are suicidal or depressed, mainly brought in by police, sheriff, or hi way patrol, or family, evaluate and put on 5150 or 72 hour hold. He was a black man and really brilliant. We talked many hours. I visited City of 10,000 Buddhas many times as my wife also, and my son. They have a school for children also. Sorry I am rambling!
