Hi Rose - I know it's been a while since you posted but hopefully you see this - can you please confirm the following; on the inside of the lid of the tobacco container it has G.R.Plastics Melbourne printed?
CRamsay, you know it does. Right under the cigarette paper holder MELB not Melbourne. Seems you and i know exactly what it is. Film canister was a good guess though. It's a beautiful piece.
It is - I still have one in pristine condition with the full papers in situ - the R in G.R stands for Ramsay, it was my grandad's company before he sold it off to start a dairy farm.
IntereSting !!!!
CRamsay: no way! Wow that's surprising. What's the G stand for? If you come across doubles I'd be well interested in getting one for my small tobacco collection ????
I'm also from Melbourne
