Two pretty ladies, about 12" tall. Cast from lead? I'd really like to know more about them! They both are very similair and have small casting lines from maybe a mold. Taken both to a couple antique store and no one seems to know what they are, although we've pretty much ruled out automobile hood ornaments. Maybe part of an old lamp? they only have one mounting location and both have areas on their backs that look like they were maybe for a name plate? any help would be appreciated, just want to know where these girls are from!

These are lamp parts from Art Deco night lights. They are in the style of Frankart or Nuart. From the 1930's, They are made of Spelter, also known as white metal. A impure form of zinc with about 3% lead. It was easy to cast with, but can become brittle with age. Here are couple examples from my collection.

Thank you so much! Very interesting that they were made in the 30's as lamp pieces. I know there wasn't a big market for nude women in that time period. Thanks again

Lol, agree phil, tons, the 20s & 30s were full of naked & semi clad females. I'd love just 1 or (2:) One day.
