My Godmother's husband sent these to her from Iran while working on a pipe line in the mid 60s. This is what I remember I also recall hearing Malta mentioned. When I was 13 I did go to the history museum with her. Where they told her they were @ least 150 years old and could be as much as 500 years old. If anyone knows more information I have not been able to find anything about them. I'm not really sure that they are even oil lamps. They are about 5 ft. tall..
