(8 items)
these pics are from live auctioneers and here for educational purposes only (other than the line drawing pic which is mine)
Rainbow glass was also shown in the Sumavy museum with a paper label. I also found the shapes for another piece in the article Warren wrote.
Hi GSO
Interesting to see the 2222 shape without any reference to any of these pieces ... unless that first line says something .... the Gelbgrun piece in my last posting is down as a 2222 as well ...
What are you calling the piece in second pic?
Cheers
I don't know what the name for the glass in the second pic is. IIRC there is another in the same decor in the pmc. I don't have the hard copy of this shape book just hte cd so I can't read what decors are listed. It doesn't surprise me that all the decors aren't listed. I've always suspected that it's only a partial list at any given time. so many records lost...
Brian also just bought an Alpengruen in this same shape.
Think that was the smaller one on the Left ... knew I should have bid a little higher ... :-)
How does Marygold sound ?? .. will check the colors reference ...
:-)
Out of luck ... only have Mandarin and Orange to choose from ...
Orange Chine is almost brown so I would not head in that direction ...
Interesting the way it fades to pink with ? Opal ... reminds me a lot of the satin glass pieces without the white casing ...
Cheers
Thanks - my Pinterest folder on these is really growing :)
yup, I've been working on my folder for over a year now. :)
Yeah, I think it probably is actually.
... Although the 2222 comes in 5 different varieties / sizes / series ... Vol 2 lists 2222 separately from 2222/I to IV ... Lots of Orange Chine and Metallinrot with no reference to Rainbow or Mandarin ...
No reference to Alpengrun in th 2208 ... AND it comes in sizes! ie 2208/4", 2208 7" ...
I think the descriptions they have may be for different years of production. it would appear these spanned some years..
I was at the auction (and was the #2 bidder) on the matching pair of rainbow vases. With buyer premium, they sold for $1035 (plus sales tax). They were over 12 inches tall.
