Hello All,
I have come across three of these posters all in excellent condition and in the original tubing. Dated and addressed. The date on the address label is 1973 and sent from Sunset magazine.
I was wondering if anyone had any information about these posters.
Thank you.
beautiful!!!
Hey Sean,
Thanks they are pretty nice. Do you know anything about these?
The magazine "Sunset" was published by the Southern Pacific Transportation Company, to promote the Southern Pacific Railway.

You don't mention size, possibly they are reproductions of that cover.
You can buy new ones here;

Thank you. Interesting.
They are like 21 x28...
The illustrator was Adolf Methfessel.

Thank you very much...
Hi Majestic:
I used to work at Sunset (both at the magazine and in the book division) in the 90s and 00s. There were a number of shelves in the storage area filled with these things, from numerous years. This was one of my faves. I think I snagged one of each before I left...
