What is it made of? Paper? Glass? How wide is it? Are there any markings? Looks like a big snow flake that mounted above a light and turned to make a light show.

Around 8mm thick made of glass. One side is smooth and the other very bumpy

Is there a whole in the center? Is it flat or formed?

agree with nutsabota6 - if its curved it's probably for a ceiling light fixture

Do u think anyone would be interested in buying this piece as im not sure about throwing it away. As found in loft not sure what to do

One thing I learned is that people will buy ANYTHING. - Call it a "retro glass ceiling light cover" - a lot of homes still have these types of ceiling fixtures.
