I decided to stop buying crystal and porcelain because it takes up too much space. I will rather hunt for vintage silver and costume jewelry, and possibly become even more selective. One has to choose a specific field because it is impossible to collect everything. This is a piece of advice I got by listening to Agram.m (thanks, Agram.m).

So here is one of my last purchases; at least for a while:
The vase looks absolutely beautiful. It is only about 6 inches tall but has no flaws whatsoever. It appears to be hand-cut and displays great detail. I believe the pattern is called Queen Lace. I have seen similar pieces on-line and many were made in Czechoslovakia. Based on some other pieces I own, I would venture to say that it might be Czechoslovakian as well. I wouldn't be too happy if I would find out that my vase is mass-produced in one of the countries that overflow the North American market with mostly cheep merchandise.

    Thanks for looking:)

Glass always keeps me guessing freiheit. It's one of the things I'm least sure about. This piece looks a bit better than common to me. If it feels heavy and has a nice ring and the detail of the pattern is crisp that's a good sign. Possibly a Victorian celery vase ? Just a thought.

Thanks, mikelv85. I agree with you about glass. I am not familiar with makers or styles. I know that some pieces are marked but many are not. This piece stood out because of the finishing, the shine, and how heavy it was. That's what I like about collecting: Looking for answers:)
