The stove reads Southern Stove Works under one door and Evansville,Ind over the door on the other side. I've seen one before that actually had Passion Flower under the door.I really don't know much about it other than that. When I bought it ,It had a note inside that crumbled when opened that said" To my daughter on her birthday 1902"

I have one identical to this one, but mine has the flowers on the front painted white. Also someone told me it was a salesman sample.

Evansville, Ind., LOCATED at the farthest Southwest corner of the state. They used to have speed boat races each year on the Ohio River.
The building these stoves were made in was later used briefly as a music venue/club. I know..I've played in it.
Not sure if it still stands.

      Thomas.
