Under-the-…

I found this gem in a consignment store in a small town west of Charlotte, NC. It was so unlike the other merchandise, lovely and alone, a quiet elegance in a barnyard of ruffians, I could actually identify. ( I think I read that in a romance novel). Because it sat ignored for several months, the price had repeatedly been reduced. I purchased it for $11.25 and in effect, rescued a damsel in distress.
Knowing little of anything, I wonder, what is it? The upholstery is clearly new due to its pristine condition. The craftsman skilled. The upper portion is oddly smooth for wood and I might suspect a composite. However, the bottom where the material is secured, is wood, noted in the roughness and tiny imperfections ( that would be me-don't look ). I did an earlier research online and can not find this exact pattern. The single flower on the upper right has 6 petals, in case this is not easily visible.
Is this an authentic Victorian side chair, or a massed produced replication? In one way I'm curious, but on the other hand........
