    (600 items)

Here I have two lots of depression glass, both purchased from one seller. One green (not sure of this unusual pattern), and one pink. I had just missed the auctions on these last week. I contacted the seller within moments of the auctions ending but they wouldn't do a buy it now at the auctions starting price. So, I watched them list for the third time. The seller replied with a higher buy it now price. I decided to wait 6 more days, until the auction ended once again. I ended up getting them for $0.50 above the starting price. Which helped out towards the steep shipping fees.
The seller sent an invoice a few minutes after the auctions ended. In which they stated... "Payment required in 24 hrs. after sale ends.WITH COMBINED RATE THANKS."
O.o All the depression glass and Pyrex I have purchased off ebay, this is the first time I've had a seller demand payment within 24 hours. They should have to state that in the description, or payment area. I'm not one for leaving negative, or even neutral feedback... but, this seller temps! LoL

So the package arrived filled with broken glass, and the seller left me to deal with it.
I filed a claim online with the USPS.
Here is what to expect, should you ever need to file a claim.
    You will need to provide...
    Tracking #
    Ebay item #
    Sellers name & address
    Upload photos of damaged items

Remember to save your evidence of insurance, as well as any damaged items, containers, packaging, and other items until your claim is settled. We may ask to see them.

Finally, thank you for submitting your claim online and for your patience as we review your claim.

To check the status of your claim, select "Claims History" from any page in the online claims process.

Please print a copy of the claim for your records.

Looks like you have your share of pictures now. Buying them in lots seems to be the way to go. That's how I got most of mine.
Hmm a double sided pitcher or is it a vase?
    3. Aimathena Aimathena, 11 years ago
Not sure fort. Photos are so deceiving. I think it's a cream and sugar set. I would be so pleasantly shocked if it were a pitcher.

What would happen if it took you 25 hours? They've already had it up a couple of times.
    7. Aimathena Aimathena, 11 years ago
I'm assuming, they would have opened an unpaid case, then relisted the items. It's silly, I know. I've encountered so many types on ebay.

LoL WP, nice. They did advertise as optic block, but those plates are unknown to me. I guess we'll just name them ourselves. I thought the pink looked like American sweetheart.
I always have to be opposite, most have less patience as they age. LoL
      Thanks for the love WP.

WP, Amazon has inexpensive uv lights, I also found a small one on ebay for $8

As for storing the pieces, the bulk of them are in a kitchen cabinet at the moment. I posted it.

I don't think that you can open an unpaid case for 72hrs!? AmberRose is right. I agree with you, it should be in the auction, right? - very strict!
    19. Aimathena Aimathena, 11 years ago
Thanks Kerry, me too. It's such a waste of a beautiful piece of history. I really wish people cared more about the job they preform. I'm still waiting to hear back from the seller, given their past record this far, I don't imagine a good outcome.

Aim, again sorry, but let us know how it turns out, and understand the "neutral/negative" feedback issue, but sometimes, future buyers need a heads-up

      Thanks Van and itsasecret

      Thank you Kerry xo.
I know, I have to start being through in my feedback.
I just don't like having to be the negative one.
And too many sellers hold their feedback until the buyer gives them positive feedback. I feel that is so unfair and dishonest.
I guess that needs to be noted in feedback as well, because it shows their character.

I need to be more *Thorough*

Aim there are we find many people on ebay that are rude or mislead . But I have for most part had good sellers I also don't like to leave bad feedback but I have decided better to let others know before they get in same situation so once in awhile I will leave a neutral . I have so much depression glass and no place to display it but would hate to sell it as it was in family for a few generations . xoxo

Thank you for your love and kind words Mani xoxo
I submitted a claim with USPS, hopefully they will refund the money I put into the broken items + shipping.

On a positive note... the green glows. So that's a plus :)

UPS will want to know if she had it packed well ? Was it ? I don't see any bubble wrap . Good luck :-)
    29. TallCakes TallCakes, 11 years ago
on eBay purchases, it is always the sellers responsibility to make insurance claims. You should get an immediate full refund from the seller and then they deal with insurance. USPS is easy and quick with the online claims service.
    30. Aimathena Aimathena, 11 years ago
Hi Mani, there was bubble wrap but it was thin, only 1 layer. No Styrofoam, cardboard or anything other than wads of newspaper to protect it. I took photos, and uploaded them to USPS online claims dept.

Hi tc, I could not agree with you more. And with USPS its mandatory to give the seller's name and address. It's difficult to provide when ebay only gives the buyers name and address, and the seller did not include their name with the return address on the package. Other than proper customer service, this is why the seller should file the claim. However, I am grateful for the knowledge of how not to treat customers.

Thank you both, you're very kind to comment with advice and well wishes. They're truly appreciated.
