Does anyone know anything about this picture? I did find this site alittle while back that sort of explained how to tell the originals from the fakes, but everything is printed in the corners that said should be if original, but I don't know the exact type of paper or ink or what else used to color in the picture.

It is not an original.
Telltale signs: the black double line border, colors are off, the paper is not correct
Not sure where the waviness is coming from in your pictures (actual print or the glass) but it is odd as well.
Sorry for the bad news.
Do an online search for currier and ives and you will quickly see the major differences.

scott i appreciate your help with this. I truly didn't know. the waves are i guess somehow made it the picture. there's no glass on top of it. I couldn't get the backing from the frame or something apart from the picture, it has been stuck i guess for too long. it had the name and address of currier and ives and other writings. even the painted by c.h. durrie and on other side of print also. entereed by the act of congress etc etc.above the name of picture. I didn't know, but thanks. I'm still keeping in my spare room :) lol. thx Ginger
