Marx Trains Louis Marx Commemorative Birthday Train Set

This is an item from the "Marx Trains" company, that was in business for about ten years in the 1990s. I think I ordered this train around 1997, kept it in a box for a while and decided it was way to large for me to display and sold it to my friend Steve a few years later. With the engine and tender there would be twelve units in this set. It would take almost that many feet to display it on a shelf. Each car commemorates a successful run of a well known and beloved Marx toy. There are cars, planes, handcars, tractors, trucks, tanks, carriages and more depicted on each side. One special car even has Louis Marx himself, the "Toy King" displayed on its side. It is a fine looking tin lithographed train set in the Marx tradition, I wish I could have kept it.
