I found this beautiful iridescent bowl at our local antiques show, not advertised as anything in particular. Since it was highly iridescent and somewhat thin-walled, I thought, "oh, what a cool shape for WMF Myra glass!", and the price was very good, so I plunked down my checkbook. I looked in the WMF book and couldn't find it, and searches on line turned out the surprising truth - this is a Tiffany Favrile bowl, which is very funny to me, because so much WMF Myra Kristall is advertised as Tiffany, and I had made the reverse mistake - buying something I thought was WMF, only to find out it was something a little more. I'm not certain, but I think the bottom has been shaved down slightly, leaving the small remains of a polished pontil mark, and removing the LCT signature. Perhaps this was an old repair. At any rate, the body of this bowl, including the rim, are in excellent condition. Its diameter is about 6 inches. If any Tiffany experts out there can provide any additional information, I would be most grateful!
Show it to Reyne (Haines) Hirsch http://www.reynehaines.com/

stunning!!!
Love these simple Tiffany pieces!
Great story. Beautiful piece!
I showed it to Reyne; she said it was most likely repaired, as Tiffany never ground pieces flat this way.
