Well I finally saw one of the tall thin clear vases like Leah had posted the other day. So I bought it without any great expectations. It has a slight twist to it and it is cut flat on the top as well. Don't know why the closeup of the base looks smaller than it really is. Probably the angle of the picture which really could have been better. Being clear and the 15 1/2" size it was hard to photograph. There is an "S" mark on the bottom. That's why I bought it, as opposed to another that had a made in China label. Now I'm really confused . So do I have a piece of junk or a gem ??

Oh darn I thought I had broken into that "elite" inner circle of the glass world. I suspected it was nothing because of the twist in it. The real ones are just straight ribbed. Although it seems like FTD would have put FTD on the bottom with all their numbers and not an "S". I read that mark is used by the Smith Glass Company or a mark that looks like a treble cleff in music. I'll find something one day I'm sure. It will just take longer combing the thrifts....lol. -Mike-
