I dont know much about this, but it's very interesting.

Leather strap that seems to connect to a belt.

Ingraved leather saying "Pakary" with a serial number.

    4. Briansodre08, 11 years ago
I would have never guessed that...

I think it has something to do with camels or elephants...

No burn or smoke marks? It does have a Middle East flair to me because of the carved leather...or perhaps Turkey or Greece.
      Why camels?

It didn't seemed burnt, because of fire damage? But it did seem a bit charred. I really do not know much about this, but if you have ANY idea where I can get more info, if LOVE to learn.

I said camel and elephant because that's the only thing I can think of...

I was spitballing incense burner, oil lamp or something like that. Burn marks mean something burning...I'm a genius I know. This one is a puzzler. Thinking...

A little hard to tell with the pictures, but are the decorative sides sold wood?
    10. Briansodre08, 11 years ago
Yes they are solid wood! The whole thing is hand carved.

Looks like it, but where would it hang from with that belt strap? Also? It's all wood, so that would be kinda silly to put fire in wood.

Makes sense, but there is no holes for ventilation..:
    13. Briansodre08, 11 years ago
No. The way you see it is the way it stays.

Well if I owned it, nomenclature would be "A Thing-ma-bob", neat .... what every, possible prayer box would be a guess.

Guys, you're asking me like if I had the answer!

I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS OR WHAT IT WAS USES FOR.

If you do, I'd love to learn. Whatever you think it is, google a similar item and confirm through there. Then, let me know what you find out.
