This painting was brought out of Vietnam before the country fell in the early 60's by my father stationed in the Philippine's and has been in my family since before I was born..The painting was done on wood with many layers and has been carved into the resin and painted. Never able to get the signature verified or to find out really how old it is. Any help identifying this piece would be much appreciated.
This panel could be signed by signed HOANG NGOC. He was from the Thu Dau Mot School
More research is needed. Much of the knowledge about this Vietnamese artist is in France so perhaps contact sellers of Hoang Ngoc's works from one of the following links.
