This was passed to my Mum about 50 years ago from a friend that emigrated from the UK to Australia. It is heavy, green glass with pewter handles and about 10 inches across. There is no makers mark. It has sort of dimples in it and an iridescent surface.
I would just love to know a bit more about it.

    Thanks

No, I'm sorry I do not. But there are numerous folks here on cw that collect these. Just keep it in the feed, they'll chime in :)

Yes! That is the dimples I meant. The family that had this before they emigrated used to put a small Xmas tree in it every year.

Hi. I am a complete novice and have no idea about anything. I would love to learn some more though. I will have to try and get a magnifying glass to get a better look. Thanks for all your help.

My camera is just a little Nikon point and shoot. I will have a look at it tomorrow and see what I can do with it. It is late here so I am just off to bed. Thanks again and I will post some more if I can get a better shot. Goodnight.

Hi. I have posted a picture with the macro and can clearly see the numbers as 2 5 73.
      Thank you.

Also it is 28 inches circumference excluding handles and about 7 inches tall. It also weighs in close to 4lbs.
