19" x 1" x 11.5" Salesman's Demonstrator of a tilting farm gate. Lifting the gate ratchets the gate to an elevation adequate to clear obstructions.
Have not located any patent information. Condition, design, and hardware lead me to believe it was created in the late 1800s.
Came without display stand. Workshop here I come.
