I love cat's but this one is kind of creepy and cool ! It looks like an 8" diameter planter at first glance but the flared top gives it a cuspidor or spittoon look. It had a ring of dirt in the bottom. When I wet a paper towel and went to clean the inside the paper towel turned tobacco brown. Yuck ! It's very crazed and has a few hairlines but in pretty good shape otherwise. Looks like it was subjected to a lot of water. Either by a plant or constant washing. There is a label on the bottom for "Millard Lister Sales Limited". Millard Lister Sales Limited was a Canadian importer and wholesaler of gift ware that sold to retailers such as Eaton's, Tower's and The Bay. It had a warehouse in Scarborough Ontario and employed 40 people at its peak, they closed their doors about 1999-2000. There's no info for when they first started business so dating this is a bit hard. It looks like it has some age to it. A lot of these things came from Japan, China, Taiwan, and the Philippines, but are sought after and collectible. -Mike-
