here's a brochure i found a while ago - a brochure for the 'new' 67 bug - comparing it to the original 1962 bug. there's a couple of creases, but it's such an iconic car for many of us, that i overlook that.
Love the bug!!
I still remember my mom's 1968 bug - automatic transmission but still had a gear-shifter. As kids, we got a big delight out of playing with the little red light button on the dash that would tell you if your brakes were ok. - For winter, my dad would just slap 4-studded snow tires on it and it would go anywhere.
vw bugs make me think of my favorite uncle who would show up w/ his giant sheep dog 'Daisy' in his bug. when he was driving, he'd let us kids stand up w/ our heads out of the sun roof - which we loved!
67 red bug! My first car! Xmas present from dad and mom!
cool! thanks toracat!
The first new car my Dad ever bought was a '66 Bug, in that pale greenish blue. It was still on the road in the early 80's, being driven by a friend. Great car, great memories. I loved the cartoon book that came with it!
