This is the 2nd post for The Milburn Wagon Co. showing a metal sign I recently acquired thru a dealer. Milburn Wagon Company which moved to Toledo, Ohio from Indiana in 1875. It became the largest manufacturer of farm wagons in the world until the end of the century. This sign is approximately 20 x 28 and dates from around 1880 and it is in somewhat rough shape, but it is hard to find in any condition. A "very good" condition sign sold online in 2006 for $21,000.00 and another in average condition sold for $3,500.00. There are not too many of these signs around although one recently sold on ebay for a very cheap price (I think it was a "Buy it Now"). The scene shows a western confrontation between a family riding on a Milburn Wagon and bandits attempting to rob them all at gunpoint. An amazing sign depicting the old west in the late 1800s by Sentenne and Green Co. Lithographers, NY.
