I bought this and don't know it's history. I was told its antique and beieve it is since it is all real wood. I can't find a name on it but it has a number 36 stamped on the back in old ink. We put glass on the top but everything else appears original. The hardware is greenish on the inside in spots so I think it is copper or brass. It appears to have supports in the drawers for another shelf or wood piece to sit on but I am not sure. Did I get ripped off for 65$ or did I get a good antique to brag about?
Can you post pictures of the drawer joints, bottom, back? A pretty face could be botox induced.
Sideboard/ buffet are basically the SAME piece of furniture.
As far as antique-- No. I don't think it is 100 years old.
This style was first popular in the 1920s- 30s. Your piece could be from that period or later. Some of your pictures would make me think more modern, but as fhrjr2 said additional photos will be helpful.

I re-posted photos. Hopefully that helps. The wood has a sheet of real wood on top that is more than 1/16 of an inch. It's pretty thick. But it is not laminate or veneer. It's real wood.
I would bet on 20s- 30s time period.
Nice solid wood furniture!

What elements would make you think a piece was from earlier?
The solid and thick wood back was the biggest indicator to me that it was an earlier piece.
More modern furniture, even quality pieces, tend to play cheap on the back and bottom.

Thanks. I thought so too but wanted to make sure!
