Hi. Anybody got any ideas about this? It has been in my family for many years and belonged to my Granny. My own Mum is now 82 and has gone into an old folks home. My Granny was born in 1900.
I just love the colours of this bowl. It has "made in England E.P.S.N" on the rim. The holder looks like brass?

Electro plated nickel silver EPNS, so either it needs cleaned because it’s tarnished, or someone has cleaned it too much and the base metal is showing.. What does the signature say? Lea?

      Hi elaine

This piece is either English or early Austrian dating from around 1860 to 1880 as the colour scheme and decoration were typical of this period in Austrian ceramics. The collor of the bowl is definitely EPNS so don't polish it too much more or it will be taken right back to the base metal

A lovely classical piece so enjoy
