I assume I don't really have to tell the members of this forum what these bowls are! I just wanted to include them because I come across very few American antique and retro things here in Denmark, but it does happen! I bought the white bowl in a charity shop, thinking it would look great with tomatoes in it (it does!), and later I found the smaller green bowls on a flea market. It was only recently that I found out that they were made at Anchor Hocking and as far as I have been able to find out the bubble pattern was used 1937-1965 (correct me if I'm wrong!) and objects were produced in different colours. I think there is a great charm in these objects meant for daily use.

The bubbles on the white bowl (diameter 20.5 cm/8 in.; height 8 cm/2.7 in) are app. one inch in diameter near the rim and gradually become smaller. On the bottom there is a starburst pattern. The green bowls (which are not entirely the same green color; one is a little more olive than the other) are 9.5 cm/3.7 in. in diameter.

And here I am hunting for things made in Denmark.
Milk glass has been making a big comeback here, but we can still find it for pennies.
