This is an early 1900's Stromberg Carlson wall telephone. Has all the old parts inside as well as the cut off line cord that phone operated on. The white paint must be the old lead paint around sides and spatter. This is the "original" condition I like to find in. Cleaning up and a nice coat of auto wax will make it look 100% better. Nice winter project... Or maybe I will leave it as is.
That is a great old phone. I don't recall seeing one like it.
Thank you. I guess these phones were used at hotels and companies. This one is an actual telephone with all the guts. My other one that can be seen above my display case, is also a Stromberg Carlson but an "intercom". That one has two white buttons below the transmitter to ring other intercoms within Hotel or business.
