This Stein was one of two that my sweet mother-in-law gave me to put in my hutch. I know they are old as she got them from her mother.I need help with the markings as they seem criptic. This Stein has a Germany mark along with "1/4" a w in a circle and what looks like a 7 and a line, or maybe a "L" with line. Any help with this would be appreciated. I would love to find out who made this lovely Stein. One other note: The handle has a hole in it near rim, could this have been for a lid?

The 1/4 means 1/4 liter - how much it holds - same as your other one
