Hello Friends!
I know some of you have been wondering about the fantastic PG 85/5029 that was posted on CW a few months ago, and here is the answer. I was lucky enough to purchase the item from the original owner through a third party, and it is certainly the most amazing piece of art glass I have ever held, or owned. I thought it would be interesting to see it with another vase that was made by Loetz for E. Bakalowits Sohne, which is the much smaller but very stunning 85/3780. As is commonly known in Loetz collecting circles, the items made for the Viennese firm are Phanomen genres, and they all start with the prefix 85/. It appears that they were all manufactured between 1899 and 1902; the 85/3780 in 1900 and the 85/5029 in 1902. I feel extremely lucky to own such a masterpiece, and I want to thank all of you out there who helped make it happen.
Enjoy!
Beautiful vases! How tall is the large one. LOVE LOVE!
Thanks for the love GC. The tall one is 12-1/2" tall (31.8 cm).
Thank you very, very much JayHow. It is an amazing feeling, and I really so appreciate your comments.

Thanks Gary and Sean.
Your very welcome dasullywon!!
Stunningly beautiful .. words do not do it justice
Thanks Oz-man. I agree that words don't do it justice - that's why I have very little in the way of description in my posting. What is there to say? Thanks again!
Stunning! Truly beautiful. Elaine.x
Thanks Elaine.x.
SULLY : THIS IS TOO MUCH.....BEYOND THE PALE !!! MUCH ENVY FROM PUERTO RICO. BUT AT LEAST IT'S 80 DEGREES HERE AND AT HOME IN MASS. IT'S 11 DEGREES.
Thanks Frank, from cold old Montana. I have a little envy too, since this is the time of year to leave MA and go to nice warm Puerto Rico! Hope you're enjoying it. It's about 25 here, but it was zero and below a couple days ago! Not much snow there I suppose. Thanks again!
Absolutely Stunning......you are very blessed!!!!
-15 degrees here today but your posting certainly warmed and brightened my spirits. Wow! Now it all makes sense. Definitely worth the trade up for this one. Congratulations on a fantastic acquisition. I have only seen one example of this decor in the WORLD and you have it!! :)
Very Nice... WOW!
Thanks Moonstonelover21, LoetzDance and bracken3. I mentioned in my post that I had some help, and it shows how this type of online community can really enhance the entire collecting experience. We support each other in various important ways, and I feel blessed to have friends like you that really appreciate the same things I do. Thanks everyone!
I would call it a once-in-a-lifetime collector's item!
An incredible decor!!! Love both of them!
Thanks glasfreund & austrohungaro.
Congrats DAS
... and so hard to find the nice smaller examples for comparison ... :-)
Thanks SteveS. I'd like to find a small example of the 85/5029 too, but what are the odds of that?
Thanks Kyle, I think they go nicely together too.
Happy New Year...:-) dasullywon...:-)
Thanks paris1925. :)
