Purchased this item along with several bins of depression glass from the home of a Norman Rockwell relative here in Westchester New york. I have tried to find more information and am not having luck with the markings on the bottom, maybe someone can help me find the origin of this item. thanks.

      Hi blaksheep67

What you have here is a piece of Edme Sampson Armorial porcelain who specialised in copying 18th Century Chinese Export porcelain. There work is simply astonishing and I own a few pieces myself. The G serial number you see is the Gilders mark and the plate is made in what they call the tube lined effect where the raised white design is clay laid on the porcelain through a piping bag, then the enamels are hand painted on by the artist.

A stunning piece and one you shoudl be proud to own

      Kindest regards.
