    Some type of Native American bust made out of different type of mineral stones,bust has been polished to look like glass,it is so beautiful,would love to know what it is.This item came out of a storage I bought 15 years ago.

      It looks like a big opal in center which says this was no a cheap piece . Hard to tell much for me photo to small. Very cool piece I love it .

      Yes it is an opal,the entire piece is made out of mineral stones,can't tell what all pieces are,but it is carved very well,a beautiful piece just don't have any information on maker or which tribe

      A truly beautiful piece.Try researching bird headressess and meaning you may find the answer.
      Not sure on gemstones and actual carved stone

      I am thinking the black stone is obsidion which is a volcanic stone.I have a Couple of carvings made from it

      I believe it may be Mexican as they do carve obsidian, should it be that. But, they also do a very rich black pottery in southern Mexico that would have a similar look and feel. Without a closeup exam, that would be my rationale.

      haha I was going to say it looked Astec/Mexican style and just saw Mani's comment. Glad to know for myself I was on the right track!
