Bought this as an after thought just because it was Noritake. It's a 7 1/2" child's nursery rhyme plate. We have "Simple Simon" ,"Olde King Cole" and even the "Four and Twenty Blackbirds Baked in a Pie" Kind of off center and sparsely decorated in my opinion. The mark is a Noritake mark which they used from 1918 to 1940. After 1940 the "M" was replaced with an "N" according to Gotheborg's porcelain site. There is a deeper and heavier straight sided dish ( spill proof?) with this design online with "Humpty Dumpty" and "Hickory Dickory Dock" which is for a baby which also includes a handled cup. This plate must be for an older child who is already sitting at the table. -Mike-
