I believe it's Turkish.
I got this far yesterday morning but got distracted by a phone call, Don.
atölye anadolu kütahya gülsüm
But that's as far as it went.
Anatolian workshop is the first two words.
atölye = atelier
That fourth word escapes me.
Help!
The industries of Kütahya have long traditions, going back to ancient times. Kütahya is famous for its kiln products, such as tiles and pottery, which are glazed and multicoloured.[4] Modern industries are sugar refining, tanning, nitrate processing and different products of meerschaum, which is extracted nearby. The local agricultural industry produces cereals, fruits and sugar beet. In addition stock raising is of much importance. Not far from Kütahya there are important mines extracting lignite.
Kütahya is linked by rail and road with Bal?kesir 250 km (155 mi) to the west, Konya 450 km (280 mi) to the southeast, Eski?ehir 70 km (43 mi) northeast and Ankara 300 km (186 mi) east.
I found it! It is in Turkey or a province!!
Atolye Anadolu is a ceramics firm in Kutahya.
I think Gülsüm is a woman's name.
Thanks again! I saw some ceramics from there! Gulsum is the artist probably! I would love to visit Turkey someday!!
I did some work in Turkish many years ago! I began a language programme at Ashfield Boys High for Turkish in the early seventies with a young teacher. It did not last but it was the first here in Australia. A very important culture. My affection for them remains. The links between Australia and Turkey go back to WWI and will be celebrated soon. Important centenary coming up.
Gallipoli! I read about this! Aus. lost 1000's of troops! British used them as cannon fodder! I will study this more as I remember it was fascinating!! But alas I forgot over the years! Don
Yeah I had two great-uncles who were there.
Charles and Myles.
My sister will be in Gallipoli later this year.
It was an important time for the new nation.
Unbelievable loss considering the population of Aus. at that time! I will watch for your post! Your great-uncles were very brave!
Great solve toracat :-)))))))))) !
Well thanks to Kevin also! Thank you for keeping my interest!!
