Antique Brass Or Bronze Writing Desk Set With Name On Front

I believe the name on the desk set is ,Tex Whittle,I'm not sure how old,I have pictures with inserts out also and bottom,has some type of Asian decorations,nice strange piece,bought this from a yard church sale.
