I have a small collection of furniture supports. This one is from the Empire period, around 1815.
I love Furniture from this period also. Pictures show how these are mounted to a pilaster. I buy these mainly in Germany and France and England. They were used on Biedermeier, Empire and Regency furniture which make up the earliest years after 1800.
I may not post more as there have been some rude people here which I have deleted.
Can you explain exactly what a furniture support is? Is this something that would replace a leg or foot on a desk/cabinet/table? It's beautiful. :) I'd love to see more of your collection!
Very beautiful! Really would like to see more.
Aha, thanks for the new images - that clarifies a bit.
Sweetie what a great cabinet in such good order
