Found this old chair, but I have no clue on what time period it was made or style. The only markings is on the back edge of the seat with the initials J.C. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The seat alone is probably worth more than the entire chair. From what I see it is a slab seat and cut from burl wood. Terribly off center and totally beautiful. I suspect J.C. wasn't Jesus Christ so it isn't quite that old. I was a bus boy at the last supper and don't know that chair as having been there, sorry.

I have two chairs similar to the one shown. Bought at auction in Penzance, U.K. over twenty years ago. Mine have the initials L.G. on back of seat. May be initials of the worker who crafted the chairs, but do not know how old.
