This is getting a new paintjob on monday, so i'll post some updates and see if people like this more. it's around 42" tall. The original is a bronze in a famous public garden [or private?] in Charlotte, South Carolina. I should have taken some photos before i painted this. It was peeling and very blotchy and not at all attractive. I really like the yellow paint.
shes very beautiful!!
Very pretty... I sort of like the turquoise!!
i just added some photos of this statue after painting it. i like it a lot more now. you?
Yup, the yellow stands out so nice next to the ivy:)
thank you sean68, DrFluffy, and sarahoff. i'm kind of over the yellow now and thinking about painting her a deep green color now. ugh! i always do this...
I just got an urge to fire up the video and re-watch "Midnight In The Gardne of Good & Evil". Wonder why?
very Nice! I have A concrete one in front of my house! its not painted!
Love the yellow, so much better.
Wrong choice of color...gray would be much better...sorry.
Spelling correction...Should be I'll not i'll....sorry again
i really like the yellow, and by the number of offers i received on it, so did a lot of others. i sold it for about ten times what i paid for it after painting it yellow.
Always go with your gut. I love stories like this. Congratulations!
thank you MrsWarren. excellent advice!
There's no arguing with success. :)
